Deacons are lead-servants at Cornerstone who use their gifts and talents to organize and administrate the ministries of the church to allow the elders to accomplish their God-given calling of shepherding and teaching the church. (Read more about our diaconate.)
Tim Erickson, Deacon of Christianity Explored
Tim has been a member of Cornerstone since 2005 and has served as a Discipleship Group Leader, a Huddle Facilitator, in Christianity Explored, and on the Security Team. (Tim is also the ad hoc leader of the church household moving team!) Tim graduated from Augustana University with a degree in Accounting and currently works in the field of corporate taxation.
In his free time, Tim enjoys reading, finances, golf, tennis, and ping pong. Tim and his wife Kim, have three adult children and a growing number of grandchildren. They make their home in Lakeville.
Kim Erickson, Deacon of Christianity Explored
Kim has been a member of Cornerstone Community Church since 2005 and has served in the pre-service prayer ministry, children’s ministry, and as a discipleship huddle facilitator. Kim graduated from Augustana University with a degree in Biology and currently works as a Bible Study Leader and Trainer with Precept Ministries.
In her free time, Kim enjoys weight training, sailing, swimming, and studying and reading theology. Kim and her husband Tim, have three adult children and a growing number of grandchildren. They make their home in Lakeville.
Amy Lokkesmoe, Deacon of Youth Ministry
Amy has been a member of Cornerstone Community Church since 2013 and has served in various capacities, including youth ministry leadership, children’s ministry, new member hospitality, and a discipleship huddle facilitator. Amy graduated from Taylor University with a degree in writing and currently works as a publicist for Bethany House Publishers.
In her free time, Amy enjoys reading, baking, playing board games with friends, working on fiction writing projects, and creating incredibly enjoyable games for the children and youth of the church. Amy makes her home in Burnsville with her husband Jake.
Megan Lakemacher, Deacon of Worship Ministry
Megan has been a member of Cornerstone Community Church since 2015 and has served on the worship team, in Grace Abounds, and behind the scenes as a humble servant in many areas of the church with her husband Justin, a pastoral resident at Cornerstone. Megan has a Masters Degree in Music Therapy and currently works as a Music Therapist with Living Spirit Therapy Services.
In her free time, Megan enjoys being out in nature and making jewelry. Megan and her husband, Justin make their home in Shakopee.
